Singapore Pools was set up in 1968 by the Singapore Government to counter illegal betting and to channel proceeds of sales to benefit the community.

The Singapore Racecourse at Kranji was officially opened in 2000. Surplus funds from the Club’s operations are channeled to support community projects.
