TOTE BOARD OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIP IN CAPACITY BUILDING FOR THE SOCIAL SERVICE SECTOR

Tote Board is pleased to make available five (5) new overseas scholarships in capacity building for the social service sector for FY2010. We are now inviting suitable candidates to apply for these scholarships for executive courses which are tenable at prestigious universities such as Harvard University. Nonprofit organisations in the Arts and Sports sectors are also welcome to apply.

Since the inauguration of the scholarship programme in FY2008, the Board has already sent seven scholars, five to Harvard University to attend its Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management course, and another two to Stanford University to attend the Executive Programme for Nonprofit Leaders course. More details on our scholars can be found here

The scholarship programme is open to all leaders of Nonprofit Organisations (NPOs) in the social service, arts and sports sectors. Strong preference will be given to the social service sector, and senior executives including Chief Executive Officers, Executive Directors and senior managers with leadership potential. The Board reserves the right to decide on the course to send the scholarship awardees to. All selected applicants will be further subject to acceptance by the universities.

The Board would like to invite your organisation to nominate a suitable candidate for the programme. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. For more information, you can refer to the programme details. To apply, please download a copy of the application form and related checklist.

All applications must reach the Board by Friday, 16 April 2010. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. For further clarifications, please contact Ms Grace Li at 6879 2947 or email her at grace_li@toteboard.gov.sg.

We look forward to receiving your applications!
