TOTE BOARD SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE SOCIAL SERVICE SECTOR

Launch: Inaugural Scholars

Tote Board selected two accomplished candidates, Mrs June Tham from Rainbow Centre and Dr Ramaswamy Akhileswaran from HCA Hospice Care, during the launch of the scholarship programme in 2008. They attended the executive course on Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management (SPNM) from 13 to 19 July 2008 at Harvard University. Click here to read more about our inaugural scholars.


2008 Phase 2

Two candidates, Mr Alfred Tan from Singapore Children's Society and Mrs Eunice Tay from National Kidney Foundation, were selected to attend the prestigious Executive Programme for Nonprofit Leaders (EPNL) from 8 to 20 March 2009 at Stanford University. The EPNL was a 13-day intensive programme held at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in California, USA. The EPNL was aimed at helping professionals to improve their ability to address key organisational and strategic challenges, as well as evaluate the rigour and relevance of new management ideas and concepts. 2009

In 2009, another three candidates, namely, Mr James Wong from Spastic Children's Association of Singapore, Mr S.Vivakanandan from Ang Mo Kio-Thye Hua Kwan Hospital and Mr Tim Oei from Asian Women's Welfare Association, were selected to attend Harvard University's SPNM programme from 12 to 18 July 2009.
