As a responsible steward of public resources, Tote Board is committed to embracing environmentally sustainable practices aligned with GreenGov.SG principles and the Singapore Green Plan 2023*.
Management Statement
The Management Statement outlines Tote Board’s dedication to integrating sustainability principles into our everyday business operations:
Tote Board commits to environmental sustainability. We are increasing our use of sustainable procurement practices by choosing suppliers that share our dedication to environmental responsibility and promoting eco-friendly products and services. We adopt energy efficient technologies, promote water conservation, reduce waste and recycle. Lastly, we promote this mindset and shared responsibility among our employees.
Governance structure for environment sustainability
A governance structure is put in place to ensure accountability for our sustainability efforts. SD (Corporate) will act as Chief Sustainability Officer to oversee these responsibilities (including assessing relevant indicators on environmental impact) and will update our website on an annual basis, as guided by GreenGov.SG.
Environmental indicators, targets and performance
Tote Board has established 2023 as our baseline year coinciding with the organisation's return to full office operations. This baseline year provides the most comprehensive and verified dataset to-date, enabling more precise and confident sustainability efforts moving forward.
Currently, Tote Board does not have Scope 1 emissions as we do not own any vehicles or equipment that give rise to direct emissions. Our office space is leased from Singapore Pools. In alignment with GreenGov.SG metrics, electricity and water consumption are used to form Tote Board’s overall carbon footprint.
Our waste disposal data is incorporated in our Landlord’s, Singapore Pools’ environmental disclosure in GreenGov.SG.
In light of these circumstances, Tote Board’s current focus is on Scope 2 emissions, specifically electricity and water consumption. Our FY2024/25 electricity consumption was 29,648 kWh, resulting in 12.0 tonnes of carbon emissions (same as FY2023/24).
For FY2024/25, Tote Board’s resource consumption metrics were:
Average monthly electricity consumption per person in 2024: ~20.44kWh
Average monthly water consumption per person in 2024: ~0.05 m3
Carbon emission reduction measures implemented in FY2024/25
Green practices aimed at reducing water, electricity, waste, and promoting sustainability, including waste reduction, energy-saving, and green procurement initiatives.

Policies, practices and projects
E-waste recycling
Tote Board launched a month-long sustainability drive prior to our office renovation to commemorate International Mother Earth Day in April 2025. This initiative encouraged staff to embrace circular economy principles through the exchange of pre-loved items, systematic recycling of plastics, metals, and papers, and the repurposing of pre-used electronics and bags.

Corporate citizenship
Tote Board contributes to Singapore's community well-being through strategic partnerships. As a Member of the Public Hygiene Council, staff volunteers participated in quarterly Kallang River clean-ups in FY2024. We also partnered with the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations to provide warehousing support for their Waterloo Street thrift shop.

Sustainable cutlery
As part of our launch of Better Everyday by Tote Board, we collaborated with Social Gifting, a social enterprise, to procure reusable cutlery sets for staff. This was to encourage staff to reduce the use of disposable cutlery. At the same time, the procurement also supported seniors at risk of isolation at Lions Befrienders.

* Exclusion Declaration: In the interest of transparency, this reporting excludes the sustainability disclosures of our subsidiaries, Singapore Pools and Singapore Turf Club.
