Grantmaking principles
As an impact-driven grantmaker, we support issue-based, evidence-driven and outcome-focused programmes that strengthen social care, inclusion, and community resilience in Singapore.
We are an impact-driven grantmaker focused on building a caring and resilient Singapore. From enabling healthy living to championing social care and inclusion, we empower individuals, families and communities today, for a better everyday.
We give an average of $500 million in grants every year, supporting programmes that are aligned with our grantmaking strategic outcomes.
Our grantmaking philosophy centres on three core principles:
Issue-based: We support projects that address critical gaps and issues of strategic importance to Singapore’s community.
Evidence-driven: Our projects show strong evidence of positive impact in the real world and we harness data to derive insights. We create opportunities for social innovation with the potential to create catalytic change.
Outcome-focused: Our projects are aligned with national priorities and strategies, as well as Tote Board’s strategic outcomes to benefit the larger community.
