Best-selling author and Australian Executive Woman of the Year Catherine DeVrye shared her insights on service excellence for not-for-profits at Tote Board’s April 2013 Social Capital Lecture.

Close to 200 representatives from the not-for-profit community gathered at Novotel Clarke Quay Hotel on 5th April 2013 for a lecture on “Unleashing Service Excellence in Not-for-Profits in Times of Change”. The distinguished speaker for the day was Ms Catherine DeVrye, Australian Executive Woman of the Year and #1 Best-selling author.
Catherine’s lecture featured anecdotes from some of her best-selling non-fiction books and insights from her own vast personal experiences. As a former CEO of youth not-for-profit organisation Junior Achievement (Australia), Catherine demonstrated her extensive knowledge of the unique challenges faced in the not-for-profit sectors.
The audience was kept in rapt attention as Catherine shared with them how service excellence can contribute to the great work that the not-for-profit organisations do in the community. Through her practical yet thought-provoking style, she delivered the all-important message that great service can boost bottom-line and team morale of every organisation. Her wealth of experience also provided the backdrop for better understanding of the benefits of embracing change, to lead to future success.
