Tote Board welcomes new Chairman and Board Members

New Board Chairman Mr Moses Lee and three new board members will commence their appointments, with re-appointments of three board members to Tote Board. These appointments are effective 1 January 2013.

Appointment of New Board Chairman

Mr Moses Lee, a board member of Tote Board since April 2012, will commence his new role as Board Chairman with effect from 1 January 2013. He succeeds Mr Bobby Chin who has been Board Chairman of Tote Board since 1 January 2006.

Mr Lee will lead Tote Board in building a stronger community through social investments and funding worthy causes. He will also ensure that Singapore Pools and Singapore Turf Club continue to conduct their gaming operations professionally and in a socially responsible manner.

Tote Board welcomes Mr Lee as its new Board Chairman, and looks forward to his strategic advice and leadership guidance, taking the Board to the next level of growth. It also expresses its appreciation to Mr Bobby Chin, who has helmed Tote Board as its Chairman for seven years. During his tenure, he guided the Board towards expanding and strengthening its programmes to better serve the community.

Appointment of New Board Members

Three new board members will commence their appointments, together with re-appointments of three board members and Chief Executive, Mr Tan Soo Nan, to Tote Board. These appointments are effective 1 January 2013.

The new board members are Brigadier-General Chia Choon Hoong, Commander, 9th Singapore Division/Chief Infantry Officer, Singapore Armed Forces, Ministry of Defence, Mr Linus Goh Ti Liang, Head, Global Commercial Banking, OCBC Bank and Ms Yeoh Chee Yan, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth.

The re-appointed members are Mr Chan Heng Kee, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development, Ms Chew Gek Khim, Deputy Chairman, Tan Chin Tuan Foundation and Mr Ng Wai Choong, Deputy Secretary (Policy), Ministry of Finance.

Tote Board welcomes the new board members and expresses its appreciation to the retiring members – Mr Cheah Kim Teck, Mr Gary Ang Aik Hwang, Dr Mary Ann Tsao and Mr Michael Palmer, for their invaluable contributions to the Board. Their current terms end on 31 December 2012.
