Did you know? Food waste is one of the biggest waste streams in Singapore.

Turning Food Waste Into Garden Gold – a project under the Community Volunteer Scheme that is supported by Tote Board in partnership with People’s Association – sees some composting action. These young volunteers go around the Joo Chiat community to collect food scraps or perishables and turn them into compost – natural fertiliser that is then harvested and used in the garden.
